Is my money safe with Emerge?

Absolutely! Your money is held in a secure trust account with a major New Zealand bank with an S&P AA- rating (the highest in NZ). This means your funds are protected even if something were to happen to Emerge.

How do I open an Emerge account?

It's easy! Simply download the Emerge app, complete the online application, and verify your identity. The whole process takes about 7 minutes.

How long does it take to get approved?

In most cases, you'll be approved instantly. However, some applications may require additional review, which could take up to 24 hours.

No, not yet. We are a registered financial service provider in New Zealand. While we offer many of the same services as a bank, we don't yet have a banking license. This means we cannot offer loans or overdrafts at this time.

How much does Emerge cost?

Emerge is free to use! There are no monthly fees, no minimum balance requirements, and no foreign transaction fees.

What businesses can use Emerge?

Currently, Emerge is available for limited liability companies (LLCs) registered in New Zealand. You must be a registered director of the company with an NZBN to get started. We're working on expanding to other business structures in the future.

What documents do I need to open an account?

You'll need your New Zealand Business Number (NZBN) and a valid form of identification (e.g. passport or NZ driver's license).
