Can I use Emerge if I’ve just moved to New Zealand?

What security measures do you use?

We use bank-grade encryption, numberless cards, instant card freezing, and two-factor authentication. In plain Kiwi English: your money’s locked down tight.

Is Emerge a bank?

Not officially, yet But yes, your money’s safe and sound. We’re a registered financial services provider, and we hold your money in a secure trust account with a licensed New Zealand bank. You get all the protection of a big bank, with none of the big-bank vibes.

What if I lose my card?

No stress, you can freeze your card instantly from the app. No waiting on hold. No “we’ll get back to you.” Just tap freeze, order a replacement, and get a new virtual card immediately so you can keep spending.

How fast can I open an account?

About the same time it takes to order a coffee. Just download the app, verify your ID, and you’re good to go. No branch visits, no paperwork.

Will I get real-time updates on my money?

Absolutely. Every time you spend, save, or transfer, you’ll get an instant notification. Your money, your moves, in real-time.

What’s SquareOne, and how is it different?

Does it cost anything to join?
